it's been a long time since i've last updated....


My latest online tube craze is Survivor.........*faintz* I've never once chased after Survivor........yet, here I am, now, watching 1 season per weekend.


Yeap. I'm now officially a reality-junkie.
Besides catching up with all the Survivor seasons (plus chasing after season 16 every friday), I've just finished Project Runway 4 (eagerly awaiting the final ep which will be uploaded in a few horus' time), ANTM cycle 9, Canada Project Runway, and a few other countries' Top Model contests (which ain't as good as Ms Tyra's....)

Anybody knows where I can watch Extreme Makeover: Home Edition? That's a series I wanna watch but can't seem to find it anywhere.....I always cry/tear while watching it.


The reason, I suspect, why I finally starts appreciating Survivor is because....I'm kind of stuck in the real "Survivor" now.
It sucks. And it's not a million dollar prize after 39 days.
You are in it whether u like it or not. It lasts for as long as u live.
but unfortunately.............most of the time....the bitchiest survived. WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD.


Was talking to my financial adviser today. Was kind of telling her how bitchy everything is starting to get. All she said was, If you can't beat them, join them. How true.

And I added, Yeah, if you can't beat them, join them, and make sure you beat them at their own game.


Wow.......I can't believe that came from me. 7 months at that crabby place, I'm going to the dark side. Muahahahahahha.........


And the reason why i don't update frequently is because this need to self censor. Sad but true, I find that this freedom to say whatever I want to say online is gone. Complain about work = Giving people a chance to fry your ass and give u the sack.
Complain about somebody = bad karma.

my current object of lust


Been pretty busy lately....So far....my first project that I've been put in charge of went rather smoothly. :) Quite like what I've done so far.

Looking forward to seeing it on screen. :)


Life at home sucks right now. I kinda hate the fact that I'm perceived as a noisy, selfish, spoilt brat at home.
Maybe I am, but all of you are no better. Seriously.
Been wanting to move out since forever. Living with 3 siblings have its fun moments.
Most of the times, though, I crave for that moment of solitude. Just leave me alone. Just stop demanding things from me.
Working life is tough. But the prospect of going back to that kind of house just sucks and depresses the shit out of me.
All my mom said is, wait till I get married. *rolls eyes*


Doesn't help with all those fucking neighbours. They turn my house into a suana. Coz I have to shut out all their smoking. The stench from their uncleaned house and 24/7 smoking is driving me nuts. Even my toilet smells.


And of course, no aircon in my house. coz... yeah.... just no aircon.


I donch even want to cry anymore. It just gives me bigger eyebags.

movies!

yeay! this CNY season has lots of good movies coming up!
Christmas period really sucks with lousy movies. pui pui pui.
The only flick that interested me was Across The Universe. Lovely show! And psychedelic! SO going to get the soundtrack!

Actually, wanted to catch the Love & Pride Film Fest after hearing it from shan..... but I realised that the only 3 shows i wanna watch is Poltergay, Brokeback and Eternal Summer. And my fren has Poltergay and Brokeback DVD that he is willing to lend. And I wanna watch Eternal Summer uncensored. (have to get from taiwan i think) So decided to give it a miss....

So....to kickstart my movie marathon, I will be watching american gangster after hearing so many raves about it.

And i so wanna catch all these movies!

I also saw this wonderful documentary online called War Dance. Not sure whether it will come to Singapore. *crosses fingers*I hope it does. I just read a book recently called A Long Way Gone, which is about a child soldier in Sierre Leone. Really haunting.... Reminds me of Blood Diamond....

i just realise why i seldom watch news. In fact, I hated watching news and reading newspapers. My world is bleak enough, i don't want to hear about all the unhappy things happening around me.
(oh yeah....i'm an escapist...)

happened to switch to CNA for a while. Nah, no good news at all. as usual. all the fightings and killings and bombings and price increasing.

But guess what is the most depressing news for me?


I giggled when the realisation sank in......... the most disturbing headline of the news read that day was....... China Population Boom.
It really seems quite harmless. And really, nothing new. BUT CAN'T YOU GUYS JUST STOP REPRODUCING? like seriously, stop it.

When I was preparing for my trip to Hong Kong, everybody who went there recently all advised me to speak English. I was kind of confused at first. huh? i thought most of them can speak chinese now? why must speak in English which they don't really understand.

Apparently.............
Speak English, then chinese = Not PRC = reasonable price
Speak chinese = PRC = Marked up price


When I went to Hong Kong, I joined this complimentary half day tour. The tour guide told me the same thing too.

*shakes head*

and i honestly think I saw and met more PRC than Hong Kong people in Hong Kong.


That said.........I must say, I was pleasantly surprised throughout my whole Hong Kong trip. People have warned me about rude HK people, and all that smoking in restaurants and stuff.
No leh, the customer service is even better than Singapore! And nah, never sniffed any smoke in restaurants.........(i'm like ultra sensitive to smoke now....no thanks to my PRC, Malysians and Burmese/Thai/vietnamese neighbours)
And.......the most impressive thing! they queue up to board the buses.....and in train stations (MTR), they really do stand to one side on the escalators. Wow. Not like stupid Singaporean aunties trying to be the first one up the buses and trying to squeeze into the bus although there are still many people trying to get out.


HK trip was definitely much better than my Shanghai trip where I have to muscle my way around........
and even better than my Thailand trip, whom I was mistaken as my dad's mistress and where everybody is smiling BUT simply not efficient at all, and what customer service?!?!?!


Taiwan is still the best though, among the limited places i've been to, coz of their fantabulous customer service. really thumbs up.

Still saving up to go Japan!!! can't wait!!! :)


The standard of living is getting higher in Singapore. Everything is increasing except our bloody pay. Bloody hell. I really want to leave Singapore soon. I don't mind the high cost of living. But wtf. A uni grad could fetch 2k 10 yrs ago. now leh? still 2k........... fuck lah. i don't see why everything is inflating except our pay.

seriously, i can't take it anymore. I don't mind hard work, but show me the fucking money i deserve.
